Cool Fuel management

What do you guys notice the most when you put a free flowing air filter and fuel management system on? does it run cooler, have more power, or better on gas? do different maps affect each of these and you have to decdie what you want?
I'm thinking of putting on the Big sucker Air filter, and the Arlen Ness II fuel management system, and just wanted to find out what kind of difference I would notice. thanks for any comments.

You should notice a little better "off-idle" throttle response, and maybe some easier reving through the RPM's. But to really realize the full performance gain, you need to go with aftermarket exhaust too (if you don't already have one). The Exhaust, Air intake, and EFI tuner will combine to give you a noticeable performance gain. As far as better fuel economy? The extra air intake is also going to require extra fuel, so fuel mileage may go down over stock. And if you find yourself "twisting-the-grip" a little harder because of the new fun factor, you will definately see a drop in MPG. However... probably 75% or more of the readers here are living with that sacrafice to performance on their touring bike. You wont hear too many complaints. Your bike may run cooler... mine definately did, but thats beacuse my 2010 SG had a cat in the header. The new V&H Power Duals header drop the heat factor to nill. You can run different maps on some tuners like the Power Commander 5 and Power Vision. In theory, you could have a map built for lower torque and 2-up riding, or have another map for solo higher HP riding. Although I swap maps often on my Turbo Deisel truck for towing or street play, I don't find it neccessary to have that capability on my motorcycles... especially the Harley. Some of todays sportbikes come from the factory with factory selectable maps switchable on the handle bars to change power settings (like if your a newb, or riding in the rain... reduced power. Track days... full-up power). Pretty cool tech.
