Hey guys, among a few other problems I'm having right now, I seem to be running really rich, and blowing through fuel. I realize that Harley downloads are to lean, but this has gone way to far the other direction. What did you guys notice when you hooked yours up, and what kind of millage difference are you getting. I never done the math, but my millage is VERY noticeable. I did email Jamie at fuel moto, and am waiting to hear back from him, but I'm wondering what you guys found.

You don't say what kind of mileage you're getting, but I can attest to the fact that PC maps, at least in my experience, tend to run rich. I have an 88c.i. engine with a fairly mild cam and a K&N air filter and I get 32 mpg -- at best -- at 70 mph on the freeway. With your setup I'd be surprised if you even got that. Power has its price!
Well if I was getting about 45mpg before, and I'd say 35mpg sounds about right now, then there is a problem. Time to try a new map. If I was getting way more power out of it with a power commander on, then yes, 35mpg would be the price to pay, but I think with the power commander you should be able to split the difference right? Yeah I might loose a little millage, the whole point behind getting a tuner is so that you can adjust your air fuel mixture. If your running to lean, add more fuel, if you're running to rich, take some away. Right?
I'm running a stock 96" Heritage (2009). Was getting mid 40s before anything was done. I'm now running Rush slip-ons, Stage one intake and a PC-V. Now get 42 to 43 (local). Just what Jamie said it would do. Runs much better too.
I'm not sure how the PCV works without the autotune module but I'm only guessing that it is pushing your AFR to about 13.4-13.6. That is a normal range for cruising. You might need a map to lean that out a bit more to the 13.8 range. It will produce a bit more heat but should smooth out the ride and give you back a bit of your economy.
I went with the Tmax with autotune and it has helped tremendously to understand the effect of a couple of tenths in AFR one way or the other.
The only other thing that I can think of that might have a big effect on your mileage like that would be your right wrist. I know after installing the Tmax on mine I found myself twisting my wrist further and faster and that had a HUGELY negative effect on my range.

You're right. That right wrist does seem to change with a little more power.
Talked to Jamie on the phone today, emailed him my existing map, and within 5 minutes he sent me a new one. I only had time for a short ride, but I can tell it's running a lot better now. Still no pop on the decel but doesn't smell like straight fuel coming out of it either. Hopefully my millage will be a little closer to normal now too. Wish everyone I dealt with gave that kind of customer service.
heh..anyone want to write jamie and email for me so i can get a custom map? i'm running one from the PC website that was as close as possible to what I have, and I didn't buy mine through fuel moto because i didnt know they existed when I got it..and he only gives support to fuel moto customers :-D i'm kinda kidding but kind of not really.
