None.. other than they are not needed. We recommend the stock springs as they work very well with the Intiminators and there is no need to change them.. however if you have already done so they will work well for you also, I don't believe you would notice much if any difference if you changed back to a straight wound spring. The set up you have is fine as you already spend the $$ on the springs before installing the IAS valves (assuming here anyway).
Sorry for the confusion, we just have not seen any advantage in changing to a progressively wound spring to further enhance the action of the Intiminators and did not want to imply that it was something that was needed to make them work better. Basically keep the springs you are happy with.
Hope that helps.

Progressive springs are IMHOP the best bang for the buck! Stop the "pogo" effect during slow speed turning when applying the front brake. Improve highway characteristics as well.

I run them in most of my bikes. Big difference in the way the RG handles and gets firm under hard braking instead of the usual nose dive and unsettled chassis due to rapidly changing chassis geometry.

Ok help a noob out here. I am going with a 21" front wheel and keeping the stock rear. So I planned on dropping the front 1" with a progressive drop in kit. Then I read where a rider here had the same set up but added the Intiminators. Will the Intiminators work with the drop in kit?

I sure hope so. That's gonna be my next mod and I have a lowered front end.
I don't see why there would be a problem but I'm glad you brought it up.

I have both (but standard height) and Hal at Ricor recently told me here that they will work together, but in his opinion the Intiminators make changing springs unnecessary.

I have the monotubes and they work fantastic on cornering, less brake dive, they jump right over bumps. My problem is that I can't stand all the bouncing when I'm on roads that seem to be smooth.

Would just a progressive spring improve the hangling and brake dive and large bumps and leave me smooth on the smoother less bumpy surfaces?

I wanted to smooth out my ride. I want more control in turns. I want less brake dive. But I dont' want to bounce on non-bouncy roads.

FYI, My mechanic called progressive and let out as much precharge as he could to make it as soft as possible and I still feel its too stiff.

I had the progressives on my softail both front and back and it made all the difference in the world! I definitely need to do the same on the Ultra.
