For a 2010 road glide trying to decide between hd heavy breather or ventilator. Any body have problems with either. Not crazy about the black plate with the heavy breather to cover the tbw motor.
I have run both on two different bikes. Besides the looks you allready mentioned, the ventilator will give you more knee room. I am running ventilator with K+N filter now. I like it alot seems to work great.
I'm a big fan of the heavy breather. I've run them on my Rocker and my Road Glide. I think they really change the look of the bike. For me @ 5'9" I found the HB gave me more leg room on both compared to the stock breather.
If you have a RGC, then I think a Heavy Breather would look sweet. If you have a RGU, then I say stick with a regular air cleaner. Maybe its just me, but I always thought that Heavy Breathers looked funny on a baggers with lowers.
Even though I have an RGC, I went with a Screamin Eagle a/c like the ones on the CVO bikes. I prefer the low profile look for my bike. But if I had a chromed out RGC with Apes and all, I'd do the Heavy Breather to complete the look.
i switched to the ventilator with k&n filter after installing glove boxes in the non vented lowers, i have a take off from 2008 road glide. part # 28716-10 compact heavy breather for sale if interested pm, $190.00 shipped usa only
