I had put this in the general discussion but it might be better here. I would like to replace the radio that is on my electraglide. The previous owner put a Clarion marine radio in it, it works ok it's just that it has a detachable face which I don't care for . I don't really know much about radio's so any advice would be really helpfull. Oh and I would rather not spend more than $3-$400

do they make radios without detachable faceplates anymore? if they do, i think they are few and far between.

for some research, go to crutchfield.com and see what they offer.

My old RK had an aftermarket fairing. I tried numerous stereo's and never found one I was truly happy with. Twice the faceplate fell off when I hit a bump and was run over. The ideal fairing stereo would not have the detachable faceplate, no CD (cuz its skips anyway), have a front axillary port, and be weather resistant. Good luck...I never found one.
