When I get my Bad Dad rear fender I want to do some custom flush leds. What I have in mind is scattering green and red leds behind green tinted plexiglass. I'm hopping that when I hit the brakes the red leds will come screaming through the plexiglass so people know I'm stopping. Not sure if red is going to come through the green tint as red. Does anyone know???

Sounds sweet, just make sure u r dot cool. Else u might end up in the pokey one bike night or such.
It seems there are several things at play here. DOT, local law enforcement, safety, and cool factor. As far as brakes and turn signals go I want MUCH more light/brightness than a stock setup! DOT and cops are important, and safety is of the highest importance!!! Next is where I am less concerned with DOT and hoping cops will look the other way. I want to use green as my running lights and also to illuminate license plate. The green will get noticed (which is the point of running lights) and will look cool. Question here is if cops will be cool enough to leave me alone b/c of the coolness factor and art I have created?
I just realized I have not let the cat out of the bag for what it will look like:
I want a shamrock big enough to put the license plate in the center of the clover. Probably end up hiding part of plate and may even shrink it a bit at Kinkos (shhhhhh...don't tell!). The top leaf will be brakes and the left/right leaf will be turn signals. The top leaf will scatter red/green leds and the other two will scatter green and either red or yellow (orange?). I want it all behind green plexiglass so it is not obvious when parked that I have tailights or a licence plate.
Like I said in first post, what I am concerned about right now is if red will show through as red when behind green tinted plexiglass. If not that might kill my whole idea and send me back to the drawing board.
