Well I just installed Rinehart true Duals, Kuryakyn Twin Velocity Plus intake and a PCIII. Now here is the problem.
> @ normal operating temp. After 15 to 20 miles the bike (2006, Street Glide) will start to buck (no throttle response). It feels like it is not getting fuel. and will not run worth a S*$%.
> Now for the wierd part. Voltage is fine, no problems. Oil pressureis fine, no problems. The bike will not pick-up, while running (example 2500 RPM in 4th gear) and it feels like it is starving for gas, the ignition feels fine. If you pull in the clucth it will idle fine, but the problem will start up as soon as you get on the thottle.
> Now for the really wierd part. If you pull over and shut the bike off completely and waite 5-10 minutes it will run fine for about another 10-15 miles and than act up again. And the mad cycle will repeat itself again and again.
I have and appointment with the dealer Thursday. Im just looking for some helpfull hints before he hits me with for the $$$$$$$$$$$
hmmm...sounds agravatin...sumpin, but how come it gets better when you let it sit...maybe a fuel starvation prob...did it do it before the PC install...it aint the pipes....doubt its the air....try the PC...disconnect it and go for a ride
All,
Thanks for the quick reply! Everything is new, Brand new! The PCIII was orders with the MAP. I will try the ride with the cap off! The dealer is very helpfull and one of the best that I have found. The PC might be the issue but shouldn't it act up all the time unless it is a heat problem? I will keep every one posted please keep posting ideas. It's driving me nuts!! [:@]
Take the PCIII off and see if it still does it. Should only take a few minutes to test that....
i agree, id reconnect the stock lead and rule in or out the pcIII, since the fuel system is pressureized, i dont think vapor lock is an issue on injected bikes. make sure you have the correct map also. if all this fails ill tell ya how to fix it forever!!
