Who uses this? I just bought a brand new ultra classic and had my 1k. I have some friends who swear by this oil? What's the main differences between this and the regular synthetic they put in at the dealer?
HD Syn3 is probably a pretty good oil, but it is made by the lowest bider for HD. Amsoil, Mobil, Redline, Royal Purple and many others are in the business of making lubrication products. There are many good synthetic oils out there and Syn 3 is probably in the lower half of the bunch. Having said that you can probably run Syn 3 and have no problems at all.
Pick one you like and that is easy to get a hold of and then ignore the rest of the oils threads you see. Mobil 1 15-50 is a great oil for the engine and is available at walmart and other auto parts stores.
I have Amsoil in my Harley.... Choose a top brand and you will be good to go. I just use
Amsoil on the advice of my Harley Mechanic that has been in the Harley business for the
past 30 years and counting....................hdman
Whatever oil you use make sure you change it at no more than MFG recommended intervals. Many choice to pick from...Don't get too caught up in the fancy advertising.

I agree. The only way to tell the differences is to send a sample of used oil to a lab to have analysis. There is where you will find the Great, good, and not so good oil.
When you change oil at recommended factory interval, the average rider would not tell the difference.
Amsoil does run a bit cooler. That's the only reason I'm using it.

I have a relative that is a Harley tech, and owns multiple bikes. Nothing but Amsoil goes into any of them and that's a good enough recomendation for me. As others have said, there are several really good brands of synthetic oil out there and all of them including Harleys synthetc are better for your bike than any brand of dino oil.

Redline has a pack ya buy that has everthing you need including the funnel. And I agree with what everyone else says with an extra amount of attention going to the "EASY TO GET" idea. I live in bumble fluff no where, so a continuous supply is key too for some. Good luck
