Friday morning. 3am. Southbound from Home (Just south of St. Louis) to Farmington MO (approx 60 miles) on the Road King. 27 degrees showing on the thermometer on the outside of the garage. A bit chilly, yo! No chaps, no heated anything. I was bundled up. The only thing that really got cold were my legs and ankles.
From Farmington to Columbia TN (roughly 800 mile round trip) with a couple of my buddies (in a truck, not on the bike) to pick up a 04 Dyna Wide Glide for one of the guys (who is getting his first ever harley from an on-line dealer down there). Back to Farmington at 8pm. 39 degrees. Other guys stop by to see the new bike, we decide to go for a ride. wound up doing 40 miles .
9:30 pm, 34 degrees, 60 miles back home. 10:20 home. Cold, tired and thouroghly happy.
(memo to self: NEED CHAPS IF DOING THIS CRAP AGAIN)
