As far as I know any SD card will work but it is actually better to buy two 4 Gig cards than one 8 Gig card, for example. The reason is because the 550 will only recognize 1,000 songs. (There are work arounds if you are handy with computers.)
Unless you bought the unrestricted ITunes songs they won't play on the Zumo. The work around is first burn all of your purchased ITunes music to a CD. Once you have done that change the import preferences of ITunes under import settings to Import Using MP3 Encoder. Then import the CD you just burnt and your songs will be imported as unrestricted MP3s so you can then export / copy them to the Zumo.
Thank you for your quick reply i will have a go at that .
I used I-tunes. But then I had to use media monkey and go through all kinds of gyrations to make a music set for the 550. Works.
I am also hooked into the aux port on the HK radio - it works.
How do I connect it to the aux? I need all the help I can get here. A step by step instructions, pictures etc. I am looking for the simpliest way to hook this thing up and still be able to hear it and take it off the bike when I don't need it. Thanks.

1/8" stereo patch cord from the 550 cradle to the AUX input of the radio.
Be aware that if you want to run the "Aux 1/8 patch cable from the left handle bar grip side to the stereo thru the backside of the inner facia you will need a longer cable than the one linked to above (most of us run the power & the patch cable down the left handlebar thru the grommet in the inner facia (power down to the cig lighter) and the patch cable over to the handlebar grommet on the right side and out to the Aux in port of the face of the stereo or you can get fancy and have (or do yourself if able to do electronics soldering) a rear Aux port installed in your stereo)
Here you go Spider
FYI, I have the 450 (same as 550 without the phone crap)
If you have the mount aand cradle with your purchase you'll all set.
I mounted it on the L/H side for the ease of use.
I spliced a cig lighter style plug.
When I take it to off I unplug it and unscrew the Thumbwheel on the clamp and the cradle comes off.
The only thing left on the bike is the U bolt mount.
I made a "lock" with a piece of springsteel to keep the GPS in the mount instead of that annoying little screw. HAs not failed me in almost 4 yrs
I've attched some stuff from the RAM site that comes with the unit.
I do not use the voice, music capibility of the unit http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResu...5/Default.aspx
RAM-B-309-7U and the RAM-B-201U on the same page
The Zumo itself and motorcycle mount does not have an external speaker. www.zumoforums.com will answer most every question you may dream of. Reading the manual can't hurt either! There are separate volume settings on the Zumo for music and navigation directions...
BTW-The motorcycle mount is NOT waterproof UNLESS the Zumo is in it.
