Hand tighten is all you need. When you tighten down the compensating sprocket screw to first 100flb then finally 175ftlb that hand tightened nut will not move. I've done two of the new ones and both are working great.

That's what I needed to Know.
Hand tighten and Harley are not usually found in the same sentence. lol
Should get it done this weekend
Thanks to all for the replies.
I know I had been nursing my almost 6 year old battery and it seemed OK. I had pulled it twice in the last two years and it checked OK with near spec amps. I rarely put it on charger if ridden regularly and when I did it went green in a matter of minutes. However I was getting a lot of little grunts before it cranked and started. Then it all of a sudden started the banging in about the same manner you describe. My theory is when the motor happens to stop so the starter has to cycle one cylinder up thru compression before it can get a charge to fire, you get the grunt if the battery amps is weak and can get a bang if it kicks thru this grunt and starts uneven. I think the bang may be the sprag clutch on the starter popping out as the motor out runs it. However I am not exactly sure what it does but it does make a pretty big rough sounding bang. Mine even blew the thermostat dip stick out and hit my leg and once popped a white puff out the SE air filter. All went away when I installed a new battery. The new battery seems to have enough grunt to push thru all that silliness. My motor is stock with no tuner and had never did that stuff in 40K
No one has glue kit in stock
Any options
Has anyone tried any other glue with any luck ?
Thanks

I got it from here (link below) in a couple of days and it came with the caulk gun adapter at 1/2 the price that HD charges for both. This is the same adhesive that HD sells. 50ml is all you need.
The maximum resistant temperature is kind of low, 300F.
I think the primary oil can be up to that temp., but I am not sure. Better check for you use it.
Just saying!

This is the same adhesive that HD included in the 2014 SE Compensator kit. There is nothing to check for and the top outer primary will not get close to 300 degrees. Members here that originally purchased the 2014 SE kit put up the pictures of the Maxlok adhesive that came in their kit.
