I put 940s on my o6 ultra rides like a hardtail. but I am 170lbs .sent them back to respring . should be back any day. will let you all know more

 

well, temps into the high 80's this afternoon!! took the bike out for a ride on our lousy paved streets here in san diego!! WOW! much smoother ride all the bumps were much easier on the bike and me!! set them to softest setting, I weigh 100% muscle mass of 200lbs!! (ok well maybe 50% BS!) bike didn't bottom out, I would most likely stiffen it up to ride a pass. but noticeably smoother ride no real curves to tell if it handles any better, (what the hell Its a brick,wadda ya want?) all in all very happy, recommend these shocks to all

 

Well, I received the shocks yesterday. I guess Chris did priority mail by UPS. Not bad for two days....

Done!!!! It took me about an hour to finish and the installation was straight forward and easy. It's raining now here in the northeast, so I won't be able to ride it yet. But, I was also wondering for those of you who already installed the shocks on your bikes. At 190 Lbs. if you're using one of the notches for reference on your shocks to set your preload, what would that be? I am unable to do the measurement at this time. I could wait for another day for someone to assist me, but just curious on those 4 notches that are described in the instructions. So can anyone help with an answer?

 

I got the 440s in 12" regular duty with 90/130 spring rate and at 175 lbs, the bike does not sag more than 1/4 to 1/2". Might be caused by the airride seat of the FLHTP absorbing the initial drop?

 

I left mine at the setting they came at, had to start somewhere, had no problems with bottoming out, if you ride two up, might want to go to 2 or 3 I thhink there a learning curve to figure out here give the original setting a try
