I have 940s(07 SE Ultra), 440s(04 Road Glide) and 430s(01 Road King) and like them all.
Key for me was taking the time to ride and dial them in just right for both solo and 2-up riding. Just needed to have the patience and all is good now.

I fixed my stock rear shocks and front fork dive with less than $25.00 It's called heavier oil! Now riding solo, I don't run any air in the rear shocks.
