It would be nice if the HK was a DVD drive and probably a very minimal ,if any, price difference. Yes, I do have an iPhone, iPod and a shuffle but it sure would be convenient if the radio was DVD based.
When you guys are talking about DVD capable it seems there are 2 different meanings. One would be capable of playing DVD movies. The other being capable of accessing 4 gigs + of data, music or whatever.
I have never tried to burn an MP3 disk on a DVD disk but if you could do it thousands of songs would fit. I just curious if it could be done or if that's what Cheiron means by 'different type of laser'.

my interest is in data (MP3s). silly to not have the capability in 2011, cost dif is negligible unlike 20 years ago
