Just don't ask what kind of oil to use.

i have a new Limited that i only got to put 100 miles on b4 winter snows...

i'll probly come back from an all day ride then dump all the oils...that 1st time is usually the only time i see any amount of shavings in the trans...for the cost of a quart of oil, i want it out of there...

next time will probly be the 1000 mile svs...done by dealer at no charge

The theory behind changing the oil after the first 100 or so miles, is supposedly because that's when majority of the break-in happens - which means lots of metal floating around in the oil. I don't know if that's true or not but it makes sense to me. I changed mine after about 150 miles.

I agree opinions are like a$$holes...everyone has them, and they all stink.... I agree with others...no sense changing it before 1000 miles...the engineers built it...they know a thing or 2 vs shade tree mechanics.. JMO....
