warranty? depends on how much of a a** the dealer wants to be.....

check engine light? nope.

 

Probably varies by dealer as far as the warranty being void. In theory they could only deny a warranty claim if they can prove the removal of the cat caused the problem.

No to the check engine light. There is no O2 sensor aft of the cat to check its function like there would be with an OBD2 based ECM.

 

Does not cause a check engine lite. You can even unplug the O2 sensors without causing a check engine lite.

 

does the engine run alot cooler without the cat?

 

no, the engine does not run cooler. however, the exhaust does. i ran my bike without a cat, no stage 1, just a nightstick slip on for almost a year.

 

Exhaust runs a LOT cooler -- Add the SE high-flow/download and get even a little cooler yet (including the motor).
