Does anyone know what size the bulbs are in the FLTR gages? I found the HD part number in my service manual, but just looking for something I can get locally. Are they wedge bulbs? If so I found some LED ones that replace the 194 type, are these the ones I need? These are for the gages, not the speedo/tach.
Thanks,
Jeff
Can the Tach and Spedo bulbs be changed on a 11 SG. I would like to paint the bulbs red, great idea on nail polish. Thats what I love about this site. Thanks
The tach, speedo & temp gauge, if you have one, are LEDs and I am not sure if they can be painted - good question.
Some have changed the LEDs themselves. It requires some skill as those LEDs are tiny and you run the risk of damaging the circuit board. Others have sent them out to places such as: www.bluegauges.com/
Anyone ever try to paint LEDs? Does anyone have any pictures of the gauges open up showing the circuit board with the LEDs attached? I'd like to see what it looks like in there without opening mine up.
