I am just passing along a note that the riding season is upon us and people are still in their winter driving modes and not looking out for us bikers yet.
I received a call this morning from my brother that a friend who we grew up with all our lives was killed last night about 2100hrs just So. of Highland Il. Jim was on his way home from his girlfriends house about 15 miles when a lady either backed out of a drive way into jims path or she backed into him, one or the other. He was on his new Ultra. He was DOA. His daughther is flying in this AM and his boy lives by him. He was a great friend and father. We will miss you Jim. RIP my brother.
Man Very Sorry to here this!!! I have not heard anything yet but i will watch the news. Its been a long winter for all of us.Not making any excuses just saying its not only the cagers but when a winter lasts 6 or so months it takes that much longer to get "Back in the saddle" and get our skills up to par. Thanks for this reminder that we MUST watch out for ourselves as no-one else is!!
Thoughts and prayers sent to the family.
Ride safe....
Prayer's sent.seems likethis time of year is full of these kinda stories, cagers got to know by now there are so many riders in all makes and models now that this shouldn't be happening so much RIP to your friend
sorry to hear about your buddy, prayers for the family sent up.
the problem is everyone is in such a damn hurry to get somewhere. you know the guy, he runs a stop sign, making you hit your brakes so you don't hit him, just so he can be in front of you, but if he had stopped, you would have passed him and he wouldn't even of had to wait.....
slow down, and pay attention! and stop thinking that the world revolves around you!
