Garmin nuvi 205w. It's not waterproof, and the maps are dated, but ram still makes the mount and cradle for it, and I passed it down to the bike when I upgraded the one in my work truck. I'll keep using it til it just gives up..

I think mine is a Nuvii 755T. I like it because I can plot a route in MapQuest on the exact roads I want to ride and download it to the GPS. (Stores 10 routes). It's nice to have tunes on the SD card in the GPS, play them through the radio, and the tunes are muted when it gives me directions for turns. Only thing I don't ike is the lousy touch screens on Garmin products. Many times you touch it and do not get the item you selected. It's not waterproof but neither am I.

Like many others, I have a Garmin 550. Easily switches between truck and bike as it comes with both mounts. I like being able to use the mapping software (MapSource) to plan routes and load them to the GPS. It also keeps tracks that you can download to your computer which can be used to keep track of where you've gone and can be incorporated into future route - real nice for when you find a really great road while wondering.

Only complaint I have is that Emily (female voice) has a real poor attitude about recalculating when I decide I like the looks of a road not in her plans. "Recalculating" "Recalculating" "Recalculating - AGAIN!"

I used the nuvi 755 until I not long ago got the zumo 660. Much easier to see in sunlight and have been through a couple storms with it already. Easily downloadable HD waypoints is a cool feature unless you opt for the more expensive HD version. If you can manage a zumo you won't be sorry. I did have an issue with the first one with the volume screeching and inaudible but the replacement is fine.

Mine is a little out of date, its an old road atlas, if I need something with more detail I can use the map on my Blackberry. Most of the fun for me is the ride to the destination. If I'm going somewhere north of me, I glance at a map to get an idea and then head that direction. I've had my fair share of missed turns and U-turns but what the heck. Too many deadlines and schedules with work and family that time on the bike is time away from all the technology.. My $ 0.02

My wife always asks me, '' You know how to get there?"
My reply "Its off in that direction."

And we head off in "that" direction, and always get where we need to be

Map Quest and print out the directions. LOL There has been many times I made a wrong turn and find something very interesting if I would not have made the wrong turn I would have never seen.
