hey guys . i just brought home my 2011 flhtc its sweet but boy does it ride different than my '07 heritage . i gotta get this b#tch lowered . my immediate concern is the exhaust . i'm looking at vance&hines although i'm not brand specific . i've been recommended to get the high output slipons and i'm also looking at the big shot duals . i mostly want that deep loud bark when i crack it on the open road and that deep harley rumble at low speed cruise . my heritage had bub short shots and i loved the sound . also we now have COPS checking for really loud pipes , but i think as long as they're baffled i'm ok here .
one more question . does anyone have black pipes . i'm leaning that way but i ride a lot on dusty gravel roads and am worried about keeping them clean , and whether they are prone to chipping .mostly keeping them clean since i often overlook keeping my bikes clean .
i should probably say , i'm not doing the intake and fuel mods at this time although some time in the future, likely next year , i'll be looking to up the power with those mods. right now its the sound i want to get tuned in .
I have the big shot duals, they make it feel cooler but by changing the fuel management will really cool your bike down. These are loud just like long shots would be on your softail. Go for the quiet baffels they are not quiet just a deeper tone.
