Jiffy stand question
Been out riding my new-to-me 2009 Road King. It's very windy and I am a little leery of parking the 800# scooter in the wind with only the jiffy stand to hold it up. After looking at the stand, am I correct in assuming that the weight of the bike locks the stand in place (so it won't retract) when it is down.

The stand locks solidly in place. I still check it most of the time when I park. If you put the stand down, and then slide the bike forward a bit, you'll see how the stand locks.
The only problem I ever had was it sinking on the neighbor's marshy driveway once. No damage, but a pain to lift up. Installed one of the Brukus KickShoe's a week or so ago. Went to the neighbor's house and put the stand down where I sank before. Made all the difference in the world having the KickShoe on.
