I finally was able to take the Glide out for spin yesterday and man I am really happy with this purchase.
I can't believe how nimble anbd easy to handle this big cruiser is.I also bought one that had a significant build up done on the motor so coming from a VROD having that throw you back in the seat power is really nice.
First thing I did was run over to an empty office park with all sorts of places to try tight turns, slaloms and figure 8's.Piece of cake.It really feels like you can't drop the bike although I want to convince my brain to not think that way!Took off out of there and hit some pretty tight twisties as well and I was totally comfortable.
Very little effort required to move the bike around.Did the same with the wife on the back and the same results.I hadn't ridden in twenty years and I thought the VROD was easy to manuever-Hah!
Loving the Glide and ready for more.
And tunes to boot!Just need an amp now.....No BASS!
Myrtle Beach here we come!
Good luck with it! I love my 07. I sat on a later model, at the dealership, and with only a 30" inseam, I liked the lower seat height of the 07 better. At least it felt to me that I was sitting higher on an SG with the newer frame.
Anyway, It's a sweet handling machine! You're gonna have a lot of enjoyment riding it!....
Oh man they are bad machines I have an 07 SG myself I love her so much turn on the MP3 and head to the beach cruise up and down the coast is so much fun. I wish you good luck with yours Have Fun !
