Has anyone had this problem with their Biketronics BT-1002 module. All features work fine but when riding the display screen flickers back and forth from showing the volume and the title of the song being played. It's just annoying seeing the screen flicker back and forth. Not sure if it's the module, the radio or something else. I have a Sony 700UI radio.

Does the same thing on my Kenwood KVT screen. I guess it's supposed too. I have since disabled the AVC, ( hold left button down for 8 seconds, then don't touch for 10 seconds), and life is good again !!
I have the same setup and have the same problem, I would be intrested to find out what the problem is. I shouldnt have to shut things off for it not to happen!
Depending on where you have the AVS set the volume will rise and fall with your speed or noise level I guess. Each time it changes volume the screen will change as well very briefly. In face if your radio beeps each time it changes volume it will do that as well.

You may be on to something with that thought. It doesn't do it if I twist the thottle when in neutral but seems to do it as the rpm's increase when riding as in how the AVC works.
AVC is based on speed not rpm's. This is a signal that comes thru the vehicle harness to the BT module. It is working as designed. My alpine does it too! A lot of starts and stops will change the volume!

This is correct... I talked to a rep from Biketronics and they confirmed the same thing. This is how the radio recieves it's signal to adjust the volume. If you were to hold a steady speed the display wouldn't change. Well one way to look at it is at least you know you AVC is working.
Would the Hawg Wired set up be better. It sounds like the only advantage to the biketronics is the AVC, but if it is annoying with the biketronics kit wouldn't you be better off with the hawg wired kit. The hawg wired kit looks more sturdy.
