Default Stage 1 AFR?

I bought an ultra limited a few months ago and had the dealer install rush slip ons, SE air filter, and the stage 1 download. Does anybody know what the AFR was changed to, if any, from the stage 1 download? I'm thinking if it was left at the stock 14.6 then I should benifit by installing a set of FL-XiED's.

The only thing the down load changes is the rev limitter. The afr doesnt change. Order a power commander from fuel moto. You'll love the results.

I'd stay with the XiED's. They are simple, cheap and work great. If for whatever reason they do not work for you, then sell them and move on to a TTS or something like it.

I talked with a tech at the dealer and he told me that when they do a download it is just that, a canned map. They pick one that closely matches your installed components.
If you bring in a tuner and have them download a new map they will adjust the AFR to 13.6.
But, if you have a tuner you can make adjustments yourself.

The AFR does not change in the download. The rev limiter, Volumetric efficiency tables, and possibly the timing table are generally what is different. Of course that depends on which "canned" map you download.

The rev limiter is raised from 5500 to 6200 RPMs, VE - volumetric efficiency is corrected from the increased air intake, and the timing is advanced. Closed loop stays at 14.6 AFR. I had the Heavy Breather installed, V&H Propipe and SE stage 1 recalibration. I then added the XiEDs and the hog runs GREAT !! Cooler and richer in closed loop. 13.9 in closed loop and from 13.9 to 12.5 AFR in open loop depending upon load.
