MSF.... only way to go, plus you'll get a discount on your insurance.

Yep, my MS test was to circle the parking lot. And when I asked the officer just to be sure. His response was "I can make this difficult if you would like." So, I got on the bike, made the loop, and was done.

I did take my MSF course through my military unit. So, I did the course on my SG. It was tough. I had the biggest bike of all. I passed. The only thing I had problems with was the tight weaving and the figure 8. I was able to get it a few times but not everytime. I never dropped it though unlike a lot of those I took the course with.

When I took the MSC that the army provided, the instructor really worked good with the guys on big baggers. One guy had one of those huge Victory Vision things and could not do a u-turn very well. By the end of the day he could turn that thing on a dime. I learned some excellent slow manuever tips myself.

Years ago I was waiting (in Utah) for my group to get tested. The instructor walked up and told the first group to pull their bikes up to the test area. Well, they all hoped on their bikes and rolled forward... When they got to the test area, the instructor says "ok, none of you put on your helmets - you all failed: come back tomorrow!". LOL!!

Hey, I'm just South of you near Albany, GA. I'm on a SG. But since I had a MC endorsement on my license when I moved to GA, I didn't have to do any of that crap. My wife took the safety course hete and just went to the DMV with her card, and they slapped a MC endorsement on her license, no questions asked.
I know you gotta be frustrated. Good luck getting it knocked out...finally. LOL.

When I was 16, and living in Tennessee, I rode my brand new Suzuki GS 1100E to the DMV. Took the written test and when I said I was ready to take the road test, the examiner asked if I rode the bike to the testing location. I said yes and he said well, I guess you know how to ride it then don't you. He signed the form and I left with my M endorsement. Ha.....Long time ago.......

Friend of mine drove his bike to the test here in NC. The DMV person wouldn't let him take the test and he ended up getting a ticket for driving without a license (Mount Holly NC). Thing that sucks about NC is that i took the California Highway Patrol Safety Course. 4 day course. Had my Cali M endorsed license, and the Certificate from my course in hand. Made me do it all again. New test and road test. What a bunch of crap. Don't do transfers in NC. My fault for not checking into it though.

+1 on taking the MSF course and keeping yourself and everyone else on the road a little safer.

Passing the test on a bagger is tough but it can be done:

awesome rodeo run

Took the driving test 25 years ago on a GW & also knocked over cones - failing the test. Got to do a retest, only knocked one over with my tailpipe & passed.
Instructor said afterwards something to the effect that it was 2 points for every cone knocked over, 10 points for putting a foot down & 3 points for missing a (the) cones as in driving a straight line through the middle of them & not try to weave in & out.
