Don't take the Motorcycle driving test on a Street Glide in Georgia.
I went this morning to take my driving test to get my MC license and failed. Now keep in mind I have had a learner permit for 3 years and over 12000 miles. I know, I should have already done it but it is a 2 hour drive and I have just been procrastinating.
Here is the reason I am pissed. I passed every part of the test but the 2 that involved cones. The first was weaving through the cones and the second was the "get up to speed and stop" test. What was the problem you say? The F-ing cones were 3 inches tall! I could not see them because of the fairing!!!!
I tried to get them to put out some standard size cones that I could see and they refused. Needless to say I WAS PISSED! Sorry for the rant but maybe this will keep someone else from making the same mistake.
I gotta laugh at this. NO, not at you. But here in PA, I have to say if 100 guys were taking their mc test on a bagger, at least 99 would fail. Worse thing is several figure 8s in a small little box. So you most certainly have to borrow someones small bike or if you take the MSC, which is free here in Pa, you can use their bikes which are like 175cc burners and really easy to do on them. Taking the MSC here will give ya your m/c license.

Yea I am defiantly going to have to borrow a smaller bike! I think what makes me so mad is the fact that I could have passed the thing if I could have seen the cones!
Sorry to read this....But in Illinois it is near impossible to pass on anything larger that a motorized bicycle. Might check into someone meeting you at the dmv with a smaller bike...Here there are guys that will meet you with a 25O cc for $50-$75. check Craigslist...Good Luck...
How did you get a 3 year permit..Illinois good for i year and you must ride with licenced rider(on another bike)
Ha..Man i am a slow typer!!!!

I'm going to use my father Heritage to do the test. He used it and said he had no problem. Here in GA you just renew your permit every 6 months. The only thing you cannot do with a permit is drive at night, drive on an expressway, and you cannot have a passenger.
lol... not laughing at your plight... just thinking about the young girl on her 15 year old Honda 250 passing the test ... and you sitting on a $25,000/$30,000 Harley not making it....
You couldn't have taken the MSC to avoid the driving test? It's mandatory in Texas. The 10% discount on insurance helps too.
I could have taken it here also but the class is 2 days long and I just couldn't see making room for it in my schedule. Looking back I guess I should have.
