Default Gps

Bought one of the handelbar mounts for my Garmin NUVI and took it for a test ride today before leaving on a roadtrip.
I turned the brightness up to 100% and still had trouble viewing the screen. Sinse I was trying to find a location out in the boondocks I needed to use the GPS . I ended up taking the suction cup that I use on the inside of my windshield on my car and attaching it to the lens covering my tach.. This location was under my 3 pouch windshield pouch and I thought that it might provide a small amount of shade for the screen. This helped alot, but I was afraid that the vibration from the bike could possibly vibrate it loose and my GPS would fall off.
Is there another trick to help use a GPS to improve the viewing . This is NOT a motorcycle GPS .
Thanks in Advance for any help !

Default GPS shading

I use a Glarestomper--velcros onto the Nuvi- provides enough shade except when sun directly behind..Works for me....
Here's site: http://www.glarestomper.com/

TUCON069-- Mine is a NUVI 265 WT and I got it off of Ebay for under $20.00. They had them for different GARMIN items but I cannot remember the vendor. If you just enter your make and model number on Ebay it will show them to Ya.
I think that the Garmin handelbar mount from Garmin is about $35.00, I hate to put a $200.00 GPS on a $20.00 mount but sometimes you just have to roll the dice and take a chance.

Cut the bottom off of a black 1 quart oil can or something of similar shape. Clean it out good and wipe it with alcohol. Shape it the way you want and velcro the can bottom to the back of the GPS.
