I currently ride a 2003 Pearl White Ultra Classic with 19,000 miles. It has the big bore kit, se slipons, Detonator wheels, chrome front end and various other chrome parts. I took it in for service the other day and got a call back from the shop asking. (Would you like to sell or trade your bike?) Cash $11,500 or trade $12,500 for an 2006 SE Ultra Classic with 6,500 miles. It has also been changed over to a 6 speed. My boot on the trade would be about $10,000 making the deal around $22,500. Does anyone think this is a good deal? It sounds alright to me but I think they could do better. Also, does anyone know how many Pearl White '03 Ultra Classics were produced? Thanks!
They called you. You should be in the position of power. I don't think that you will find that there is a nickel's worth of difference in the bikes. I say that this is a deal to pass on.
While I love my '06, as others have said, not a good deal for you. Even with the six speed, the '06 Ultra isn't worth $22K. IMO, keep the '03, she's got plenty of miles left.
i know the Black(not vivid)& Green had paint problems...
a friend in Cal had the Black/Grey, and had it repainted...i dont think it was a paint problem, but the bike was always in the shop for one problem or another...

Agreed, not stock. I've got an aftermarket 6 speed in my '06, and I interpretted the OP to indicate there was a 6 speed in the mix in his "deal":

Hence my comment on the 6 speed. It may be interpretted to be on either the '03 or the '06, but IMO it doesn't really change the deal that much, and I still think the OP should pass on it. No worries.
