The HD Get-a-Grips are no where near the quality of PM grips. I owned them for two days and took them back....Pure junk. For 20 dollars more a person could get the real deal.

I just replaced my Contours for the Elites. Contours are a little smaller and as named, are contoured. The Elites do not have a taper and are a little bigger. The rubber on the Contours are softer and there is a flat spot in the grip where PM puts their name and that feels good on the hand.

I prefer the Elite's size, softer rubber and I also like the new ends better.

Junk is pretty harsh. I now have the "Get a Grips" on the wife's ride thanks to a $20 coupon and thought I'd try them out. Their shape and look from a distance are very similar to my PM Grips. It is when you pick them up it is obvious they are chrome covered plastic, but I couldn't tell that by looking at them. The rubber is not as "tacky" feeling as the PM grips, but for $59 bucks they are ok. Wife likes the feel of them and and they look great. The "Get a Grips" do come in an XL size which might help riders with bigger hands. My hands are small so I like the standard size and the PM Grips I have are awesome. PM's for TBW do retail for $139 and the Get a Grips $79 so you do get what you pay for in terms of retail. I did score on my PMs shipped for $89 so the real street price difference is $20-30. With that I would suggest the PMs. I just wouldn't call the Get a Grips Junk. They are just not as nice as the PMs.

I have the RSD trackers and they are comfy and great looking. My only complaint is the set screws on the left grip are poorly designed and the grip has come off on me at some inopportune moments, even with the dimple in the bar.

I don't think they are plastic, it looked to me as a chrome tin cap over plastic.

I installed the PM Contour grips this winter. I really love them, they are a very well engineered product that are made from billet aluminum. I did a fair amount of research on these before I pulled the trigger. Some of the “Just like PM grips but cheaper” either use chromed plastic or the aluminum part of the grip does not run under the rubber part (just caps on each end). As many have said, they are not the cheapest, but we're also not talking crazy money either… certainly worth every cent to me.

BTW – Eastern Performance has great prices on these. You can either go to their store, or they also sell via e-bay. Free shipping and super guys to work with.

I think you are right on that because they are way better than any chrome on plastic I've seen before. I thought plastic because of how light they were in comparison to the PMs.

Funny deal on the price I quoted. I bought mine through Wanaryde on Ebay. $89 shipped for the TBW version which I thought was a steal at the time. Turns out it was even better than I imagined. Their Buy it now price is $119 shipped which is in line with every other seller. Something tells me they screwed up and posted the dual cable price on the TBW version and I just lucked out on that day. They honored the price and said nothing about it. At $119 ($109 was the lowest shipped price for TBW Pms) compared to $63 (20% off price for the Get a Grip) there is a bigger difference then I 1st stated.

anyone have a problem with the rubber slipping on the aluminum grip? the left grip on my bike slides around until its been out in the sun for a couple of hours, then it seems to 'lock' on there. anyone else's grips do this?
