Seems like 13.8 is pretty rich and the mileage would suffer accordingly. On my last bike with T-Max I was running AFR's of 14-14.1 and was averaging 37 mpg. I thought that was bad, don't really want worse than that! It's strange how some folks say their mileage actually improved with the IED's, now I'm really scratching my head.
I ran XIED's on my 07 Street Glide for 5 years and saw a slight increase in fuel mileage. Bike ran great, temperatures were cooler and no more pinging under acceleration. Just ordered my new pair for my new 2013 Street Bob.
before ( stock) 44 MPG for my typical riding 65~70 MPH on 2 lane roads. fully loaded with touring crap say 100#
after 43 MPG same riding style, same roads, same crap
09 96", no cat header with tuned nightsticks, ness big sucker.
there are many, many variables on MPG incl. right hand, load, wind, speed, and percentages of ethanol.
My mpg records are as close to apples/apples as you might find.
for comparison my '95 80 evo, same roads, same speeds and loads would offer about 42 MPG, chalk the gain up to 6th gear and EFI to help compensate for the 96" motor size ( the evo sweet spot was 65 MPH on the nose- 45 MPG, higher MPG numbers could be achieved at 55 mph but that ain't my style)

My guess is those who upgraded the ac saw a decrease in fuel mileage. I have an"11 flxh...decatted headpipe..4" dynotuned slipons...xieds and stock ac. I get 48 mpg average...have gotten over 50 on tanks with all highway riding.
Had them on an 07 SG.. 103/255s SE a/c with Rush 2" for nearly 5 years... cooled it off some and the one time I truly ran a mileage test was two up riding from B'ham to Chattanooga and bacK... pretty much steady go, not too much in town stop and go....nicer/open two lane some 4 lane and a short trip on the interstate. Ran between 70mph and 1?? well, we will just say I NEVER really ride to get the best possible gas mileage.... anyway.. .got right about 43/44 if I remember correctly... around town normal riding I'd get 40ish .... that one had a 5 gallon tank.. the light would come on at 160 miles and it would take 4 +/- gallons to top it back off....
Been running them on this bike for almost 30K. Get an average of 43 MPG. Ride solo and stay pretty much within 5 mph of speed limit. you see in my Sig pic what I'm running. If you go to nightrider.com or call steve Mullen, he will explain their function. He's an Engineer and worked for harley at one time helping design their ECM's.
FLHTC 2012, decatted, stock muffs w/center disc drilled, stock ac, getting around 43/45 with two-up riding 95% of the time on mostly interstate doing the speed limit or a couple miles above. Didn't change that much and as the bike gets broken in more it will increase. I had them on my '11 FXDF and it dropped initially then went back up as the bike become more broken in also. It had debaffled stock pipes, no cat, KN air cleaner.
