Ok, so my wife and I went for a ride last Wednesday night. I happened to notice a dark spot where my fuel gauge is! What the hell?!? Oddly enough, the gauge is working fine, other than the lack of illumination at night.
So my question is, should I just suck it up and get a new fuel gauge? Can that be repaired? And, do you think that would be a warranty item? (I still have to April until my warranty runs out).
I really don't want to have to replace it, as I would like to swap all the stock gauges with the white background ones. But I can't afford them just yet (and refuse to charge them!)
Thanks for the link bh, I'll watch that one. I like the silver, so if they don't go too high I'll probably put a bid on them, but I like the actual white face better (ever since I saw them on a 91 Maxima SE that my friends dad had, I've wanted a set in my vehicles, and now bike!)
One other thing I need to check are the cables, maybe I knocked something loose on that gauge when I installed my HogTunes a few weeks back. That was during the day, so I wouldn't have noticed the light being off when I was checking things out!

Oh, so now you are coming clean! [sm=bustedsign.gif]

What can I say? My mind is slow, especially on a Saturday after a late (and fun!) Friday!!
I've got the silver faced gauges on a SG. The tach and speedo turn dark at night. In the daylight the 6 speed indicator and the cruise indicators are very hard to see against the silver face. I wish they were black faced, the indicators would have to show up better
