I installed cruise on my 07 RK...Don't remember what it cost, you can find out on line, go on the harley website...At first the instructions look a little intimedating but just follow the instructions... aint bad at all...
I'm trying to get an idea of what it will cost to have cruise control installed on my
07 Electra Glide Classic.
I had it on my 04 Road Glide and grew to really like it.
Have any of you had it installed on your bikes or installed it yourself? What did it cost? How hard was it to install and what's involved?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cruise control for all 07s has been discontinued by HD. Do a search on changing the pins in the 06 cruise control connectors to make them fit for an 07

I may have been mistaken on my earlier reply. It maybe only the 07 SG cruise control that has been discontinued. Not real sure if the cruise control for the other models use the same one as the SG or not.
The kit for the '04-'06 EG's has also been discontinued by HD; i.e. it's no longer listed on HD's website. You can ask a dealer (or Dawg) to use the parts locator function on the dealer intranet to find a dealer with one on the shelf.
Failing that, get the installation instructions for the '07 kit and/or '04-'06 kit because it will have a service parts list. Then track down the parts needed.
You can also check to confirm that the module in the available RK kits is the same used in the EG/SG kits; availability of the on/off fairing cap switch and set/resume handlebar switch as replacement parts; and, assemble your own "kit." Heck, even buying the RK kit and using the parts from it that are needed for the EG/SG installation is worth considering.
I already have cruise on my '04; but, if I wanted to add it there are ways to get it done so long as replacement parts are still available for '04-'07 Ultras which came with cruise from the factory.
Yes, it'll be harder and (probably) more expensive since HD dropped the kits for EG/SG models, but so long as the replacement parts are available it can be done.
Zanotti's will help you with any part numbers available, unless dawg catches this. Go to their web site and email or call. Either way they are great to work with!!!
