Hello All,
New to HD Forums, found this really helpful & interesting. Just bought my first HD. 2010 FLHTCU. I love it! The volume control on the right side of the tour pac does not change the volume of the radio/cd. The PTT does turn the audio off when the radio/cd is playing. Am I overlooking some type of programing that has not been done with the system? Is this control switchable, able to be turned on or off? Bought the bike used 1300 miles, the original owner didnt know. Hate to take it back to the dealer if it is something I should know. Any replies appreciated.

Go to the "sticky" thread thing here at the top of the page and click on the one about self-diagnostistics for HD Harmon Radios. It can run through the codes and maybe help figure out your problem.
Also keep in mind that what the passenger volume changes depends entirely on what you are doing up front. If you are messing with the CB and have it highlighted in the dash and she changes her volume, it only affects the CB volume ONLY. Same with the Intercom, and same with the Radio. That probably sounds very confusing and probably is but if you've got the Ultra, you'll understand what I am talking about ....... maybe (LOL).
The PTT does turn the audio off when the radio/cd is playing.
The PTT button engages the Intercom (or transmits the CB if turned on). This mutes the radio/CD volume. If using the speakers, you will just hear the music go away without knowing the Intercom or CB is working.
