Like LA VIC says.....There must be at least thirty-nine different manufacturers out there who say their windshields work and are the best. From the forum members, you'll probably get just as many thoughts and opinions. Each riders' windshield "works for them", so that's all that matters; each rider's preferences are subjective. Having said that, this is
what I use on my 2011 FLHTK and it works for me:
I have the 9.5 inch recurve from Clearview. Allows me to look over the top but yet no real buffeting and looks so much better than the stock windshield.
9" LRS ultra here. Im about 6'2" with somewhat poor posture when sitting. I can see over it no problem. It just puts the wind about an inch above my helmet. I really like it. But Id prefer the stock shield for colder weather. I did notice an increase in wind noise though. drowns out the radio a little.
have the 10" long ride x-stream not sure I like the looks of it on the bike, but does work well, thinking about trying 10" ultra flip, good quality shields though.
I haven't tried one so I can't say I don't like them. You're looks pretty badass Do you have much wind noise with it?
had 8.5 KW before and it rattled my eyeballs with buffeting at speeds > 60, seat is lower now and with the 6.5 I'm very satisfied, haven't noticed any more wind noise than usual, mostly i ride with ear plugs, you still feel air in your chest and face area but its clean air. Appearance is what intially made me try KW, but the front end does seem to be more planted and i haven't tried anything else
Hi,
Some screens come pre-curved and some are flat (pattern parts made from polycarb).
Does installing one of the flat ones damage the fairing as it exerts more force to keep it curved ???

Stock Harley windshields are flat polycarbonate so it's all good.
I have 3 of these , used the 11 clear half moon on my hoka hey run, found them a year before, also carried a 9 inch version to put on rented Ultra for my Alps ride and Europe tour. Cant beat the price or the function, now using the flat top custom made one they made for me. Customer service cant be beat, have tried a few other name brands they dont compare, doubles the radio volume as well.
