OK... just to confuse people more...

Traditional non recurved style windshields: Harley, Memphis Shades, National Cycles, Drag Spec, Kuryakyn, CeeBaileys .... & others

Recurved or Multi-curved Style Windshields: Freedom Shields, Clearview, Windvest, CeeBailers, Harley, Klockwerks, National Cycle, LRS .... & others

And..... Fast Aire will have a new re-curved style windshield called the "Aero" that is in production now & is due to be available at the end of April. The "Aero" is made from .138 thick polycarbonate material.

Link to our page with the Aero information: http://www.fastaire.com/Aero.html

Clark Custom Shields, love their windshields!Just ordered a 10" light copper tint Contour Flat Top with the protective inlay. So much less wind buffeting and noise behind their shields.Agreed, can't beat their price and customer support

Damn, As much as I love my LRS Ultra, I'm gonna check out some of the others sites as well. May have to buy another bagger just so I don't keep switching shields.

Great info here!
I only saw 1 reply regarding a passenger though....
I like to look over the top of the windshield rather than through it, but want it high enough so my passenger will be comfortable as well....
I am 5' 11' and sit pretty tall in a stock seat.
Any more input?

Thanks!

Sounds like we're about the same. My wife (5'6") says she gets a little extra wind but nothing drastic. I'm running the LRS Ultra and I'll have to go measure it to see exactly what size it is I put on there.

Don't mean to beat a dead horse here but I'm looking to replace the 16" OEM windshield on my 2011 RGU. This is my first Touring bike and what really aggravates me about the bike is how it's all over the road at high speeds or around larger vehicles on the road. I had a Fatbob last year and it did't have these handling issues like the RGU seems to have.
Destination Daytona HD yesterday suggested I get the 16" Klock Werks shield. Runs roughly $200 with them. Ive tried to do some research Online for other options but there's so many different after market windshields out there that I really have no idea what to get.
I'm 5'11" and want improved handling with the bike. Any suggestions? Thanks.

OK, I just ordered the Clerview 15.5” with the recurve and vent. This looks like it will be a good year long shield but I mainly got it for the cooler seasons. I’ll follow-up later with the results.

I’m also considering a shorter (either 8 or 9”) tinted/recurve shield, mainly for the warmer season. I do like looking over the top as well as the looks of the shorter tinted shield so I’ll more than likely get both…
Thanks for everyone’s input and a special thanks to Tinner Briman for sending the pics and videos, it really helped.

Update:
I actually canceled the Clerview 15.5” order and went with an 8" and 12" LRS. The 8" is an Ultra Flat-Top, medium tint (warmer weather) and the 12” is an Ultra clear (colder weather).

I didn’t cancel the Clerview because I didn’t like it. I simply got a great deal on the LRS line and also like the style of the 8” for the warm season. I may still get the Clerview down the road. Anyway, the 8” LRS looks nice on the bike and is performing like a 10 or 11” I’m assuming the 12” will perform like a 14 or 15”, this will be nice when it’s cooler…

BTW, the 8" allows me to see over the top, with room to spare. I could have actually used the 9" however I like the view. If I didn't do the Mustang Lowdown seat I would have went with the 9" and I think the 10" would have also worked. I'm only 5'8" mind you.

I just put a 9" Fastaire Aero shield on my '11 Limited. The Aero has the flip at the top. Is it ever nice! I am 6'1" and easily see over it and it blocks te wind like a 12" flat shield.
