They do hinge up but only to an extent.

Kinda figured that was pre-coffee statement about "faster than". I don't mind scraping mine at all 2 up or solo.

I guess in the long run it all subjective about the differences in the frames. Some say yes, some say no, some are neutral.

Had the squirrel on my 99 ultra when i bought it 40K ago, did new swing arm bushings and now i chase the GPZ's through the twisties. Get funny looks from them when they see a big fat harley on thier tail. Love it.

This is true and I didn't state my case clearly. Nothing can help the frame-flex issue, AFAIK.
