Tread depth, replace or wait?

Took my front wheel off that has a flat to take and get fixed. I measured the tread depth and and found it to be 3/32nd in the middle tread and 5/32nd in the outside tread. According to the maintenance records the last owner gave me it's sitting right at 12,000 miles on the tire. It is a Dunlop 402 on a laced wheel with a tube. Should I go ahead and replace it and get it over with or wait till more tread wears off? I'm leaning towards replacing it and getting it over with. The local Harley shop wants $157 for a new one. The local Yamaha shop has them for $106.

Well lets see, what do you think you will be focusing in on if you do not replace it the next time you are riding in the rain? I would replace it.

replace it...as someone said, if you find yourself on wet roads you will be thankful for the new tire.

replace it....word of advice...never ride on a patched motorcycle tire...some people do...I think they have a death wish... and tread at 3/32 is nearly toast...12000 miles is good mileage on a tire..
