I have the HD Hybrid also. It says it weighs 23 oz. I put it on a scale it weighs 29 oz. I guess the extra may be the straps. Anyways its pretty light. It listed for $189

It may weigh more than other half helmets, but the weight is better distributed all around my head, and it flow more wind than any half helmet can because it's vented. Most lightweight half helmets are not vented on top, and you'll only get wind thru it when it catches wind and sails on you.

I have half helmets, I have full face helmets, this is my favorite hands down.

I agree with you...I have them all and my pick most days is my AGV dragon 1/2 helmet. It really is kinda like a 3/4 but doesn't look like one. I'm all about being comfortable when I ride.

Check this one out. http://www.leatherup.com/p/Outlaw-AX...et/381941.html If you can find one they are the lightest, thinnest DOT low profile helmet available. Not much bigger than a novelty helmet but has the DOT markings. Because of this they are in very high demand and are difficult to find. (Not to be confused with the "Ultra Slim Profile")

I have the helmet RedDogNC posted HD website. I bought it when they first came out. Maybe 2007 or early 2008. It fits great & is light. But I put on a visor. I've been in rain & snow. For cold weather I wear a ski mask. Been 23 degrees before. I also have a Outlaw Slim. It is great & the padding is comfortable. I just weighed both on my food scale.
HD with visor (Hybrid Spoiler) 2lb. 2oz.
OutLaw Ultra Slim Profile (fiberglass) 1lb. 9oz.
There were rumors that they lost dot approval on the Carbon Fiber helmet which is close to mine.

They show one now (Pink) but I talked to them this morning & was told they have more coming in. Maybe BS but I had to wait 1 month before they got my size
You can have them notify you when they come in. Check out the link.
sorry for the long post & good luck.

My next helmet will be one of these. Although they are a little pricey, they are light weight and very unique. They are not much more expensive that the HD helmets,...

I have a Bell Pit Boss helmet and weighs only 900 grams (1.9#). Dose not sit high on the head and very secure with the special design speed dial fit system.

I'm selling an HJC AC-3 carbon fiber 3/4 helmet. It weighs in at 2lb 8oz. For a 3/4 that's very light. I'm getting a ff like the Leo's wear. Looks very small and light. Need to find out what it is.

I discovered after going through a lot of trial and error I was buying helmets too small for my head. Mine is not DOT approved, however, it is solid and well padded helmet. This time I bought a larger size....it doesn't set on top of my head or give me a headache from being too snug. This may help you find the right solution.

I just purchased a Vega XTS Naked Half Helmet. I had been riding with a HD Half w/visor for years. I have to say i should have purchased the Vega a long time ago. Comfortable and a low profile for a DOT. They are sized a lot different so be sure to try on. Good luck in the helmet search. It took me several years and trying on hundreds before I finally found what I wanted.
