Default Danny gray Big Seat backrest
I have a 2011 street glide with Danny Gray Big Seat and am trying to figure out how to attach the backrest to the seat. Not sure if I have the right backrest. The post has a screw near the bottom of the backrest post that I guess somehow attaches the backrest to the seat but I see no screw hole or access other than the opening that the flap covers up. ????

It just slides in the opening..

slides into the opening and under the seat near the bottom of that opening you should see a small hole in which the screw is inserted, getting the screw hole in the backrest post to line up with the screw hole in the seat is a challange i had to try numerous time gave up waited a few days to get over the frustration and tried again had to push the backrest down very firmly and advance the screw at the same time finally got it Whew! Don't think i'll be taking it out any time soon

Sounds like a pain....I'm about ready to chuck the dang thing but I'll give it another shot. Thanks for the info Cap'n

It's a PITA putting the backrest on. I called Danny Gray and Sherry walked me through it. There might be some foam in the slot. Get a flashlight and look down in the hole where the backrest goes and see that the slot is clear. Be patient grasshopper. My wife didn't like the pillion, so I bought a Mustang solo and am selling the DG.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but how did your speed cradle seat position you compared to the stock seat? Lower? Closer? I'm interested in your opinion of this seat.

You need to cut a hole in the fabric to see it. I just looked at mine.
