I'm ready to buy my first HD, been riding a metric for two years (Suzuki Boulevard C90). I like the looks of the RK, but noticed that the SG had a lower center of gravity. The dealer confirmed it so was wondering if he's just trying to make a sale. Anything else I should be aware of between these two nice bikes.
In any event they are both great bikes. I had an '05 RK Classic but now own a '06 SG. Love them both but if I had to replace again I'd go once more with the SG.
Rent both and then decide. If you like the look of your C90, then you will probably lean towards the RK's more classic look. You can lower the RK if thats an issue. Enjoy.
Ride both and see what feels best to you before you make your final decision. There are dealers that have demo bikes available. Both are excellent choices.......................BG
Streetglide suspension is identical to a RKCustom....rear shocks are 1" lower than the rest of the touring line. Consider, that once you own a bagger with a fairing & it's features, it is highly unlikely that you will ever switch, to one without!
