Thanks for info. Are the roller rockers worth installing in the 120R? Any hp gain?

you will be ok with the Fatcat -- the little difference does not justify the cost -- + I just took a zilla off on my SG that thing was so f-ing loud my wife could here me 1/2 a mile away, she already have the garage door open by the time I got home.

I know D&D recommends the Zilla but I have a Fatcat (NIB) already and don't want to spend the cash on another exhaust system. Initial plans were to do a T-Man 107" kit but the 120R sounds pretty sweet.

Ikr0, Did your Zilla come off a bagger? What year model(s) does it fit? Reason I'm asking I have a brand new chrome Fatcat w/std baffle (never installed) that fits 07'-08' bagger. Might could work out a trade or something if pipes are for same models if you're interested. My buddy is running the same pipe I have on a 07' SG with H/Q 107" big bore kit and the pipe sounds awesome when you get on it (not obnoxiuosly loud). No problem hearing the stereo at moderate highway speeds. I bought this pipe with the intentions on doing a 107" big bore kit but I'm now leaning towards the SE120R crate motor.

Isn't that a perk? Now teach her to have a beer ready as you get off the bike.

I had really loud bikes and I got tired of the loudness. Thats why I used my 103 stock slip-ons on my true dual headers. When I get on it everyone tells me it sounds very sweet. Plus it adds to the sleeper look. I can take my Ultra to a bike night and no one is any wiser. But those who do know, I don't know how, jaws drop and run over to check the 120R in the bagger. Yeah I know I lose a couple of HP and TQ numbers but I think I can afford it.

I had SE roller rockers installed as part of the install of the SE 120R crate engine into my 06 Street Bob. As for whether they make more power or not, I am not sure. The reason I added them is that they are more forgiving related to valve train alignment..

---Touring Update---

I went for a 5 day, 4 night jaunt south. My desire was to look for sun...

I left Vancouver, it wasn't raining, but cloudy. I rode south as far as Portland night 1. Nothing to sophisticated, I-5 and a lot of 80+ MPH riding. The stereo rocks [Hawg Wired] and the exhaust isn't too loud at all [SuperTrapp SuperMeg - 35 Discs]. I also cleaned the SE Heavy Breather, and oiled it prior to my departure. I dunno if it is relevant, but nonetheless...

This thing just has gobs of roll on power. Sixth gear even. Just bare down, and BAM!! You're moving over 90 MPH. I did a quick run up to 126 MPH. I got 'er over 200 km/h. Lotsa Speed Tax Collectors, so I didn't go too crazy...

Headed over to Coos Bay, and then south. I didn't do this leg of the coast in 2009 I headed in to Coos, and north. The Metzler tires held the road, and the bike was very mild mannered on the curves when I wanted it to be.

The Redwoods were huge, and it was nice and cool under the canopy. I kept an eye on the temperature, and it never got above 115 Deg C. [216 F] I have an Oil Cooler, and am running Amsoil.

I found I was getting 350 km / 4.5 Gal of gas. [My bike is in km... 218.75 mi] That seems high, but it was the easy coastal riding, not the crazy speedfreak riding. I'll try to keep better tabs on it.

The Highway 101 branches at Leggett, and becomes the #1 Pacific Coast Highway. Pretty twisty I felt, but everyone is different. I came across a lot of sport cars, logging trucks, and sport bikes. No Harleys... Oh well. I was rewarded with more ocean scenery once I cleared the twists of the PCH.

Time was a factor, I got to Fort Bragg, and realized I better turn back north. I returned to Eureka, and stayed in the same hotel, that I did the previous night. I got my tires topped up @ Redwood HD, I forgot my pump... and contunued north to Newport OR.

The last day I headed up the coast for a bit, and turned inland after Lincoln City. I gotta say, there is some great roads there. I recommend them to everyone.

The 120R got to stretch it's legs once again, and the power is pretty awesome. It is calm when you want it, and impressive when you crank on it. No problems to report [knock on wood]. It is a little unnerving having a 'race only' engine, but so far it is a very capable touring bike. No wheelies or burnouts. Only Hydrocarbons and some bugs were hurt during this ride.

I just got back from a 2700 mile trip. This was a combination of highway and mountain riding. There were three bikes a stock 07 king,106 s&s tman 555 camed,30 tooth sprocket 2010 streetglide and my 2010 120r equiped streetglide.
My fuel mileage was between 38-41mpg. I was consistantly adding .4-.6 of a gallon more on fill ups than the other 2 bikes.I dont think the 120 does to bad in the fuel mileage department in full touring mode.
The best fuel mileage was the 106 equiped streetglide.
I am going to change to the tman 662-1 cams. I think for touring the bike will be much improved with the torque coming on earlier.
