Hey guys,

Sorry for the delayed response. I had to work and am just getting back to my computer. First, I want to thank everyone for your help. It is greatly appreciated.

When I had it in the shop, the mechanic pointed out a hissing sound just behind the air cleaner. He sprayed something behind the air cleaner and the hissing stopped and the idle became better. A short moment later, it went back to hissing and the idle became erratic. As to what exactly is leaking, I don't know, but he said that the MM EFI had to be replaced. He told me I could put in another MM EFI, but that I may or may not have the same issues down the road. He also suggested I look into the thundermax. Whatever it was, he was convinced that the MM EFI had to be replaced. I hope that answers the questions.

Geargrinder: If I do have to replace it, then yes I am interested. I will pm you.

Where are you located at, close to Colorado? I may be able to help you since I have been working on my M&M. I may have some good used sensors to try to see if any are bad. Let me know if I can help.

Thanks for the offer, but I am in Maryland. Wish I were in Colorado!

Sounds like you may just have an intake seal leak. It'll cost ya about $5 to fix if that's what it is.

Are you referring to the seal between the air filter mount and the MM EFI intake?

Geargrinder: I can't pm you. I have not had 5 posts in quite a while. This is my fifth post, so when the system updates, I will be able to pm you.

Nope. The rubber seals between the heads and the intake body. Unless the throttle body somehow got cracked, there's not many spots it'll leak from.

I agree, it sounds like the seals from the intake to the heads is bad. I would get it away from that dealer, sounds like they don't fix anything, just replace it.

That dealer wants to rip you off. MM injection is a good system, but few understand it well enough to diagnose it or repair it.

You mean I can't trust the dealer? I have not taken it in for a second opinion. I guess I need to do that before I go any further.
