Default Spot Lights, when do you use them?

Just started riding my first dresser. When do people use the spot lights? Are they for night highway, or in city traffic, or all the time?

Whenever you want. I personally don't use them because I don't like the light on the switch glaring at me while I'm riding.

..to be honest with you..I hardly use them...especially since I swapped out the stock high-low bulb for the HST-4 high output bulb you can buy at any auto parts store...it is really good and lights up the night awesome when you throw it on high beam. Some people will say they always use all 3 lights during the day to get the attention of idiots in cages...but I don't see that on the road that much...most FLH'S I see only have the middle light on

The only time they are off is if I accidentally turn them off.....day or night!

On all the time, more visible light for other drivers to see you.
