I have owned my Road King Classic for 1 year today
I bought my 2010 Road King Classic exactly 1 year ago today and have logged 15,325 miles just in commuting. I have a 56 mile commute each way to and from work.Yeah, you read that right I haven't even thrown my leg over it 1 single time to just go riding around . Much of that I can attribute to a year that has just SUCKED! I ride everyday that the weather is above 35 degrees and there isn't rain in the immediate forecast.
I really do want to take it out for some riding time and hope that this year is a little more forgiving from a scheduling stand-point.
I give you credit for riding to work. That's tuff these days with all the D__K Heads in cars out there. Give yourself a brake & get on some back raods & enjoy. Good Luck
Gonna try and take a ride this Friday. The Navy base that I work on is going to have a kick-off ride for motorcycle safety month. Hopefully nothing explodes on my desk and I can get away from the office for some seat time. Wish me luck!
Enjoy the ride. I got my '09 and my commuting and riding is about equal. My distance is far less though. I only put about 130mi a week on mine on the commute, then another 200-250 per weekend usually twice a month.
I feel for ya man, what would you do if you like in the frozen North.....
I can understand YOUR PAIN, we have about 3 weeks that is rough riding weather. You probably have about 3 weeks that is ideal riding weather. I do love the snow, but will do without it to continue riding.
