Bought a set of used 96" Cylinders on eBay, a set of 103" 10:1 Hyper-eutectic Pistons from Kieth Black, Locally machined Cylinders, Cometic 0.030" Head Gaskets, Andrews 26H Cams, SE Clutch Spring, Gaskets, Oil, New Spark Plugs etc. Total cost was just shy of $700. Did the labor myself one Friday evening. Could have used different Cams (used 255's), Different non-Cometic MLS Head Gaskets, not changed the Clutch Spring, and used my exisitng Cylinders (but would have had to wait for the machinist) and I could have kept the cost under $500.
Got the complete stage II kit off ebay for $430. Already had pipes and SE A/C; sold those items from kit and my net cost was $230 for the BB kit. Helped a friend install his a few months ago; piece of cake. I decided to upgrade a few things while I'm in the engine (cam plate; oil pump; inner cam bearings; thinking about compensator upgrade too). As you can see by the posts here, the components/kit can be had for relatively little money, the big bucks is paying for the labor for install. You can save a bundle doing it yourself, it's not rocket science. You'll need to remap your fuel injection system which is $300 to $400 for a dyno plus cost of the tuner. Fuel moto will sell you a tuner and preload a map which will be damn close to being spot on to save the cost of a dyno if you're so inclined.
What is the big deal bout Fuel Moto sponsoring the touring link? Does not make it the God of the vtwin world... if the man wants to do a 103.... than so be it...

I hear ya on that. Many deals can be found on H-D SE 103" flat tops from divided/separated kits. Many dealers may sell them for $140 after 20% off. Hell, I got pistons and had my cylinders bored-honed for total of $240. Even the experts will tell you the difference between a well matched, nicely tuned 103"/107" may be a matter of only couple hp/ft-lb tq and you can save couple/few hundred $$. If you're in no hurry, ebay can be a friend. For NEW items delivered I paid: SE 103" flat tops $120, Andrews 54H cams $208, Cometic .030 top end kit $60, Cometic cam service kit $35, 99B lifters $85, Torrington bearings $12, Barnett hd clutch spring $21, SEPST tuner $225, TPE manual compression releases $40. If you can do the work yourself it's a great deal.

The big deal is Fuel Moto is a great company and has given more to the forum then they have gotten back...Purchase all the parts for the 103" off EBAY or your dealer and when you come to a install or drivabillity issue give the seller a call and see how much they don't help you. Fuel Moto actually cares about thier customers and you cannot put a price on that...That makes them the "god of vtwin"

They are an extremely good company. Jamie tuned my Kawasaki and I also have some Jackpot sip-ons. Quality stuff for sure BUT their are other options. And I just can't quite hear Jamie saying in his best Charleton Heston voice "Thou shall not ride any other build but mine" being a vtwin God and all

I wouldn't do a 107 no matter who sold the parts. Edit, I would do the S&S 106 as the cylinders should be stronger and they can be bored 1x.
