I will be paying $200 in restocking fees on genuine HD parts thanks to my brother-in-law. It's my fault anyway, but that will never happen again. Lesson learned the hard way. Always ask questions and never assume
My BIL would be paying the $200.00 or his sister would be out looking for the body with the rest of the search team.
not to support any dealer i can relate but if the part can be canceled and they dont take delivery of it and they charge you a restock fee thats not right but if they have the part in hand and have called you to come pick it up and you cancel then yes a restocking fee should apply
just from my business aspect now i cant comment on anybody else my restock fee only covers me shipping the part back and the 25% restockfee i get charged from the factory warehouse
my dealer does it only if they have got the part in and are waiting for you to pick it up
I can sort of see it if it is a special order and might be a part that could sit there for a good while. It's money they put out to HD cause you wanted it and then backed out. But if it is a pretty common part and they were just somehow out of stock, they should be decent and waive that fee.
