I just bought a se heavy breather for my 08 flhx and I'm looking at the instructions and it says for proper installation this kit requires breather screws 29465-08 I was wondering if everyone has purchased these or did you use your original mounting bolts.
the bolts you are asking about should be the same as original equipment on 08 or later touring bikes, reread instructions and compare the bolts to the ones in the picture.
If you have the factory intake (the football) then you already have those breather bolts. The only time they would be different is if you put on a different intake like the SE ventilator.
When I purchased the bike new the dealer installed the se aircleaner on it and it is mounted with what looks like regular bolts---the ones that it calls for in the heavy breather instructions look they have a small in the center of them.
You should still have the vented breather bolts. They are brass colored if I remember right. I just did this install yesterday. Good luck getting the old intake support braket. It is a mother...I have a tip if you run in to trouble...Shoot me a PM if it comes to that.

I recently made the same upgrade from the Stage 1 AC and I had to replace the bolts with the vented bolts. Only ran a few bucks for a package of 2 at the dealer.
Got my 01 Road King used with a SE Teardrop breather and had to use the breather bolts. Don't believe the advertisement about increase in HP but IMO sounds better and looks great.
I just purchased Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather for my 2008 road King. I had all sorts of fuel mix problems. Later I found out that I did not have the part no 29465-08 bolts. Ok after ı get the bolts where does the oil that comes from the heads go? Any solutions? Thanks Asya from Turkey.
