Default Batwing without windscreen

As told in another thread I hate the buffeting and beatbox when I am riding my 07SG. I don't mind sitting in the wind as long as there is no turbulence (around my head, don't mind on body).
Anyone knows what will be the effect of riding a batwing without a windscreen. Weather is not very good over here so I can't experience myself at the moment. Anyone did this silly experiment?

Pleae let me know your opinion.

I've actually seen a lot of people here in the states ride their bikes sans windshield. I think it looks a little strange but hey, "to each his own." Give it a try and see if you like it. It makes for a rather unfinished look though.

Honestly, it's not going to be much different than w/stock "shorty" shield. Also, the look wouln't be impressive at all. Try it, but do yourself a favor & invest in taller shield w/fork baffle (one under tree - not attached to forks)...JMO.

most of the buffeting isn't from the windshield anyway, it's coming from between the upper and lower farings.

Why don't you just get a proper windshield for your height and a front fork air baffle and go enjoy riding your bike. As a rule if a windshield looks cool it doesn't work, if your hung up on looks you will never have a comfortable ride!

I agree. Get yourself a Windvest windshield in the proper height and a fork baffle. It will kill 90% of your problem.

Why not give it a try see if that fits your needs, it's fairly easy to remove the shield.

Another good addition, if you haven't done it, are the wings that attach to the sides of your fairing.

I agree with NVSteve! I have an Ultra and I tried taking the wings off just to see what it would look like with out it. Looks were fine, but when I took it for a test ride, I realized where the buffeting everyone talks about comes from.
