Default Remap, stage 1 or do nothing

I have a 103" engine with the CAT. My dealer told me if I put on a set of slip-ons alone, I will not need any other modifications. So, I put on a set of RC Components slip-ons. The looks and sound are great and the bike runs fine. Nothing else has been done to the exhaust or fuel management.
My question is: When decelerating while I do not hear any "popping" or backfiring, when the rpms fall from 3,000+/- I hear a bit of a rumble at around 2,000 rpms that I do not hear while decelerating through the 3,000 to 2,000 range or at any other rpms. Sometimes the same thing when I rev the engine, but never that "pop-pop" or backfire sound. Does this sound normal, or should I consider a remap, stage 1 or nothing? I am happy with the way the bike runs and am not looking for more performance. And surprisingly, the bike does not run too hot as many have reported here.
Thanks in advance.

Normal, you don't need a remap with slips only.

These machines makes some funky sounds sometimes and after a while you get use to them...Have fun with the sounds, be one with the sounds, they will grow on you....

The rumble is the one you want, the decel pop is unburned fuel getting to the exhaust then burning. No map required the ecm can accommodate a slip on change.

The rumbling/decel popping is normal. If you went with a Power Commander, you can richen up the map in certain areas to decrease that to almost nothing.
I richened the 0% cells from 4000 rpm down to 1500 rpm. Popping is gone.

The Power Comander is really a neat tool when you figure out how to map it correctly. I'm still learning.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. The dealer also told me that the sounds are normal and explained that thanks to EPA, on deceleration the fuel cuts out (or back) and the rumble is the remaining bit of fuel in the cylinders burning off.
Thanks again.
