Looking for advise, I"m 5'9" ride a 2011 SG and desparately need a windshield a bit higher than stock. I know this subject has been covered in this forum before, but just wondering if someone could offer some advise on what height windshield I should get given my height and that I don't want to look through the windshield.
From what I can gather the recurve is windhshield I should consider.
Im 5'11" and I bought a longride windshield, Dark tint 8 inch ultra(Has a curved edge and I luv it. about 70 bucks also, hundred bucks cheaper the A klockwerks.
Many HD dealers now stock and sell Klockwerks windshields. Usually they have demo ones you can throw on your bike and try out. I am 5-11 and run a 8.5" on mine. Works great.
I did try the 6.5" but above 60mph the buffeting was to much.
I'm 5'10 riding an ultra with 8 1/2" KW. Could even go taller without worry about looking through it, so you should be fine with 8 1/2. The taller the better for protection. I still get side buffetting with the KW.
Thanks for all of your quite responses. I think I'll see if my local Harley dealer has one for me to try out. From what I've heard looking through a recurve isn't what you want to do anyway, whether you're adverse to looking thru a windshield or not.
5' 10" using Long Ride's Classic recurve 6 inch shield, keeps that street glide look. . .I did have seat modded by mean city cycles with a 2" drop though also. Edit:sorry didn't pay attention that you were requesting for Klockwerks
